Absolute Angora's
Rabbits eat most greens, vegetables, and some fruits.They also need a pellet or chaff based supplement as part of their diet. I reccomend and use jack rabbit.
Rabbits - They are awesome pets to have around. They are very friendly and intelligent. They can be trained to do jumping and walk on a lead. They are a great indoor or outdoor pet, and prefer to be with another bunny or friendly guinea pig companion.
Most rabbits have beautiful and friendly natures. I recommend the English Angora over all breeds due to how friendly, Intelligent, and curious they are. All they want to do is be with you, explore and have cuddles. They are great pets for children but need to have someone to be able to groom them daily , they are a lot of work!!!
Health-
Rabbits do get diseases , one is Myxomatosis, aquired from mosquitos , rabbits die from this and there is no vaccination in australia so just keep your bunnies away from mosquitoes. The other Disease is calici virus, contracted via direct exposure to affected Rabbits. This is also a fatal disease.
You can vaccinate for this every 12 months.
Grooming-
All Rabbits need daily grooming , but English angora's have a massive amount of Hair and need grooming more frequently. They also need to be either kept in a cool place during summer or shaved/clipped.
Housing-
English Angoras are only a medium sized breed of rabbit, due to their extensive coat they appear larger, and they do need a decent sized enclosure. They love to nibble on straw and hay, and therefore this makes great bedding for their hutch.
